Functional Application of Deadlift and Push Press

21-15-9 Rep Rounds

  • Deadlift -load to body weight or above, focus on form, increase load each round

After each round of deadlifts, Shoulder Press to failure, into Push Press to failure, into Push Jerk to failure. Choose a weight that is challenging but will allow at 4-6 shoulder presses before needing to progress to the more functional push press and push jerk.


Tara will have to use the power and momentum of the push press to lift a heavy ladder up over her head and high enough to hook it above her.
