The best way to measure the heart of an athlete is through adversity. When your back is against the wall, you see what you are made of. How do you react when the going gets tough? Do you have a mental or physical breakdown when things do not go your way? Are you a fight or flight individual? These are all questions that can only be answered when you are put to the test; and, the best test is competing against someone who is willing to go to that dark place. I am talking about the place that hurts so bad that you are a second away from loosing your shit. It is during that second that your character is revealed. Do you dig in because there is no way in hell that you are going to be beat, or do you roll over and convince yourself with some lame ass excuse that winning isn’t that important? Many people are afraid of facing this reality; therefore, they avoid competition at all cost. To be great, you must not be timid; you must be a fire breather. You must accept any challenge you are faced with, even if that challenge puts you against all odds. With that being said, here is your first challenge…I dare you to be great!
