Super Bear

This is the "Bear" complex with the addition of overhead squats. Each complex is done in continuous fashion with one barbell.

20 minutes of:

  • Power Clean
  • Front squat
  • Push press
  • Back Squat
  • Push press, wide grip
  • Overhead squat

Scoring: completion of 1 complex gets 1 point when using 1/4 bodyweight on the barbell, 2 points for 1/3 bodyweight, 3 points for 1/2 bodyweight.

Katie: 25 rounds @ 1/4 bodyweight = 25 points

Adrienne: 25 rounds @ 1/3 bodyweight = 50 points

Mike: 39 rounds @ 1/2 bodyweight = 117 points

This complex can also be truncated by more advance lifters into: squat clean, thruster, back squat, snatch balance.

  1. That’s a crazy complex, love the bear but the super bear sounds even more testing, was the 39 rounds without a rest at all?
