Before they were introduced to Murph…..

This is Murph….

In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.

This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he named it "Body Armor". CrossFit commemorated Mike Murphy with that workout and it is one of our signature workouts now referred to as "Murph".

I think they love Murph, don’t you?

Comments

  1. I DO Love Murph!!! That was great today, Thx!

  2. I do LOVE Murph!! That was fun today..thanks!!!

  3. Love? I, for one, do not love Murph, I’d rather be dragged naked cross razorgrass turf. I find Murph difficult, even miserable company: if I saw him coming toward me on the street, I’d flee. Can’t say that with Murph, time flies. On the contrary, it expands into a sick stretch of misery that makes me want to cry. While I’ll admit that Murph makes me a better man, I’ll not rush to be around him soon again. If I do, I’ll work hard to make our time together short. I’ll probably time it and brag about the reduction to a cohort.
That aside, Lt. Michael Murphy clearly deserves admiration and a tip of the hat, and doing the workout was a ready way to do just that.
And now that I’ve survived Murph’s hour plus of “dis-ease” – Can we bring the girls back to the party, please?
