Success in the Snatch or Clean and Jerk can be made or broken in your positioning: your SHOES

S-shoe lace (foot) position

H – hands on bar w/hook grip

O – over the bar; scapulas/chest

E– elbows out knuckles down

S – sit in or stand up

Hold that position through the first pull, get a violent extension/productive acceleration in the second pull to finish or get yourself under the bar (third pull).

  1. This seminar was hands down the most applicable I’ve been to. A “10 / 10”. The whole day was amazing. I’m very grateful for the Coaches time and efforts.
    The Sumo-Snatch was not actually learned nor taught. I made that up on the fly, however I don’t suggest it.
