CrossFit Games Open WOD 12.5

Complete as many reps as possible in 7 minutes following the rep scheme below:

Chest-to-Bar Pullups
This is a timed workout. If you complete the round of 21, go on to 24. If you complete 24, go on to 27, etc.

This workout begins from the standing position with the barbell on the floor and the athlete standing tall. Using a ball, box or other object to check for proper depth is not allowed. Every rep counts in this workout. You will enter your score as the total number of reps completed.

Movement Standards

Thruster:
This is a standard barbell thruster in which the barbell moves from the bottom of a front squat to full lock out overhead. The bar starts on the ground. No racks allowed. The hip crease must pass below the knees. A full squat clean into the thruster is allowed if the bar is on the ground.  The barbell must come to full lockout overhead with the hips, knees and arms fully extended, and the bar directly over the heels.

Chest-to-Bar Pullup:
This is a standard chest-to-bar pullup. Dead-hang, kipping or butterfly pullups are all allowed as long as all the requirements are met.  The arms must be fully extended at the bottom.  At the top, the chest must clearly come into contact with the bar. For masters women (55+), touching the chest is not required, but the chin must break the horizontal plane of the bar.

Congrats to Ann on her first workout after knee surgery!

HUGE applause to all those who participated in the 2012 CrossFit Games Open season!  Once again, we saw GREAT breakthroughs for people, aiming high and setting standards for themselves that they had no idea the were capable of meeting!  Really proud of all the effort, tenacity, and heart that went into the workouts through these past 5 weeks.  You all ROCK and should be very proud of what you have accomplished.  Even ONE REP COUNTED and you made that rep happen!  Many saw new accomplishements because of their growth this year (note that Holly did ALL 5 workouts as Rx'd this year)!  It has been another really successful competition and we are excited to see you carry your new-found abilities into your workouts and continue to grow!

We hope you have ALL enjoyed the CrossFit Games Open workouts whether you did one of them or all 5.  Hopefully, you learned something we already know.  We may be ordinary people, but we are capable of extraordinary things.  We are proud to be associated with all of you.
